Dr. Robert J. Veneri, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.G., received his medical degree, with Distinction, from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Michigan in 1983 and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. John Hospital in Detroit, MI, where he was Chief Resident from 1985 to 1986 and completed his Fellowship in gastroenterology at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI in 1988.

Dr. Veneri is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Gastroenterology. He is also a member of the American Medical Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Gastroenterological Association, the Wayne County Medical Society, the Michigan State Medical Society, the Detroit Gastroenterology Associates, Detroit Gastroenterological Society and the American Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Dr. Veneri was formerly President of the Detroit Gastroenterological Society.

Dr. Veneri practices at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, MI, Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital, in Grosse Pointe, MI, and at the Eastside Endoscopy Center in St. Clair Shores and Macomb Township, MI. His main office practice is located at G.I. Medicine Associates, P.C. in St. Clair Shores, MI.

Currently he holds the following positions:

  • Medical Director, Eastside Endoscopy Center.
  • Assistant Clinical Professor, Wayne State University School of Medicine
  • Chairman, QA & I Committee, Eastside Endoscopy Center

Dr. Veneri's practice is dedicated to diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, the liver and pancreas, and diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP, including stent placement.
